I was reading a a review type assessment of Whip-Smart which you may have seen already:
http://www.threeimaginarygirls.com/node/6182I realized that I agree with the funky statement, it's a terrible word that should never be used by anyone unless it is a joke. (For those of you who have seen teen witch, the terrible teeny bopper movie from the 80s, when the frazzy haired girl says "Look at how funky they are!" of the three rapping white boys before she herself is sent into a rap battle with them. In that case it was hilarious, though probably not intended to be so.) Other that that I think it is impossible for anyone to come up with a good follow up to an album like Exile in Guyville, and Whip-Smart is probably the best we could ask for a sophomore album, not meaning that it is a bad album at all, I do love this album. What do you guys think? Complaints or Compliments for this album?
