Could be that the twitter account picked up on the changes to lizphair.com. The twitter account and lizphair.com feature pretty much the same image. On lizphair.com, it is set against 4 different colored backgrounds and includes some random part of the wall. The twitter account uses black and white, which is more reminiscent of the Girly Sound era.
Perhaps a stronger hint that the two are related. Perhaps, not.

I don't know if you've been noticing, but the streaming song offered on lizphair.com has been changing.
First week: Bollywood
Second week: And He Slayed Her (concurrent with Liz's note to fans, and the mirrored image merging into single lips photo)
Third week: My My (concurrent with four color pic of Liz and fire)
Fourth week: Bang! Bang! (no other concurrent change)

You can't see it too well unless you view page source and directly download the picture.
The angle of the photo (looking up from a sink, perhaps) seems odd as well. I like the jewelry.

Per Tils used the first week's photo as his avatar on myspace (I think?). I'll try to check with him and see if he snagged it.
I snagged the four color shot and the b&w similar shot on the twitter account as well as this week's photo.
Most of us didn't realize that the pictures would rotate until the 4 color shot came out.

The song has changed. Over this past week, it has been Bang Bang, but tonight it is Satisfied.
Expect the background to change as well. The background changes have occurred on a little later than the song change.

Michael Honaker on twitter analyzed the web page and says there is a CSS error on the page and that's the reason the background image isn't showing up.
I don't know if she'll fix it up this week or just leave it the way that it is. Be prepared to view the source and look for the background image.
