Well it's 2:25 am here in Austin, and the guy next door has a pretty crappy amp. Ordinarily, you can count on a crappy amp to constrain a crappy garage band's vocals, guitars, and whatnot into a blessedly clipped midrange hum. Unfortunately, this is not your mom's crappy garage band operating from the echoey shallows of the empty swimming pool next door. No, that's the vocal alright. And yes, that's the guitar. I haven't identifited which household appliances they've taken hostage.. But let's just say that I'm looking forward to their "unplugged" phase. Hey, is that a police bullhorn chiming in? To complete the 3-part harmony? No, that's their "sound guy" at work. They knocked the leaves off an oak tree, so he's aiming the amp the other direction. Stay tuned.
Fuck. It's a good thing I got up anyhow to write a cheap novel.

I think that I want to write a song (it'll be just the words because I'll fuck up the music) loosely based on the "Unstuck in Time" concept from Kurt Vonnegut's Slaughterhouse Five book. It won't be depressing, it will be about how as you get older you wander back and forth through your memories (time) looking for answers to things that you'll never figure out the answers for.
To make it interesting, I'll probably through in a love interest. Oh well.
We need to see more of your wit here.
Seriously.
