So I took the vinyl to work today and took pictures, just for those that didn't get a copy and wanted to know what was included.
Remember that I'm by no means a photographer.

So here's a contact sheet for what's in the linked zip file >HERE<.  The file is 6mb (roughly). All you Windows users ignore the OSX folder inside the zip - just delete it.

Enjoy.  Sorry about the bad photography.  I was kind of in a rush.

Are there scratches on the vinyl label due to the 'design' of the record – or is it a result of glare?

Just curious - where do you shop for vinyl these days?  I'm perfectly content with digital audio, but my father has a huge collection of albums from back in the day before they invented cassettes, and he's always complaining about how hard it is to get replacement parts for his record player.  If he knew that all these modern artists he hates were available on vinyl and that devoted audiophiles my age and younger often prefer the vinyl version . . .  Shocked

Some of the stores (I know Hot Topic, specifically) has USB Vinyl record players for sale.  The USB is to allow you to either use the speaker system in your computer or to allow you to rip it to your computer.

I was thinking about doing the latter with my reasonable (60-100 or so) vinyl album collection.

Although, if you're an audiophile, you might not wish to connect it to anything but a high end stereo system.  Vinyl is coming back and I'm sure that you can still find the turntables.

What you're probably seeing is mostly glare.
I pulled out the record and looked at it closely again (hasn't been out of the plastic since that day) and the only thing I can see are very slight (only visible at certain angles) scuffs around the center of the label, near the hole. That applies to both the album and the 7".
I've seen this on lots of records right out of the plastic. Whip-Smart and the egg were like that too.
Same goes for the 7" Juvenilia records and Carnivore.

Also, this wasn't a used copy. Still fully shrink wrapped.

Over on LPF, they've released Wild Thing, from the advance copy.  Also, there is another "Instrumental", which was not the same instrumental as the released version.

This is interesting, because it is called "Instrumentals" (notice the plural) and there are now two of them.

Ha - can't wait to tell my father about that . . . my father going to Hot Topic . . . I NEVER thought that would happen in a million years . . .

Oh, it stopped being the official form long before that.
