Here is a challenge for those of you here on this message board. Can you arrange the following events in the order that they will occur? It's called predicting the future. Here goes: - A concert tour is announced
- lizphair.com is updated
- The myspace page for Liz Phair is update
- Final disposition for LPF: either shut down or being replaced by a board by ATO Records
Here's my guess: The myspace page will be updated, but it takes at least one month for that to happen. I believe that a tour and lizphair.com will happen this summer. Probably around the time of reissue of EIG. The message board is hard to say. I think it will take some time for them to actually do something about it. |

Since LizPhair.com's demise, it seems that this forum has also died down. That's unfortunate, seeing as how the news of her Exile reissue and the new album have emerged. Liz's myspace and facebook pages are kind of useless compared to the wealth of Liz stuff on the LP forum.
oh well, what the hell.

I have looked all over the place, but girlysound's got my favorite forum. Still, I don't have time for its fears, and its tears, and its queer little feats. Why? What's in a name? Does an aliased weed smoke less sweet? Look, man, I conslutted the magic 8-ball seven times before deleting your account. It kept saying: "it was HIS idea. DO it!" So I finally did. Now if you want to talk about it, then that's fine. Let's talk about it. I'd rather talk aboot WCSE myself, or why on earth Wild Thing got selected as a bonus track on the upcoming EIG re-issue. I'd personally rather hear Easy Target. But then it probably wasn't even recorded. I wonder what else might have made the list. Henderson would know, I guess. He created an account out here. I haven't checked if he logs on. WHere the hell is Engle, for that matter? |

I'm sure if there was more bonus material available it would have been included on the reissue, but it seems like it's pretty slim pickings. I was surprised at first that no Girly Sound tracks were included, as Liz had mentioned putting them on there when she was discussing the reissue in 2003. Perhaps they are being saved for a future release? One can only hope. There were plans to give the tapes an official release on several occasions earlier in her career. Maybe we should start a petition..

Shmoopy, did you ever hear anything else on tape3? I figured that J.Henderson might bestow the lo-fi wonder upon you? No? THat's too bad. I'm also wondering about the lack of GS on EIG. It would have been nice. Did you check out that "remastered" EIG fuck and run? Xray posted a link over on the LPF.
We've got lots of acronyms.

I listened to the remastered versions of Divorce Song and Fuck and Run a few weeks ago. I only listened to each of the songs one time- I wasn't really paying attention during F&R but Divorce Song sounded really great, even on my crappy laptop speakers.
