It's no more overwrought than the cover for Whitechocolatespaceegg, where she looks like the black sheep of the Munster clan.  Maybe that's too harsh an assessment, but I never liked that cover.  This one is just fine.  It's got a nice graffitti feel.  It's better than the god-awful cover for the infamous girlysound ebay bootleg.

..to dress up the site, both the forum and the main Girly Sound download page.  The current, minimalist approach is chiefly attributable to my limited graphic design abilities.  That said, it kind of fits the subject matter.  I was thinking that variations on the "girls room" iconography might be cool.  Monochrome is also nice.  Maybe the girls room symbol holding a guitar, with one arm raised, ready to jam.

Or something hi-fi would work as well.  Let's discuss.  I've attached a sample "girls room" symbol.

Are you still planning on dressing the site up? I'd like to see the main page have some actual info or a brief history of  Girly Sound so that someone who might accidentally stumble upon the site can find out what it's all about. Having the cover art available on the main page would be helpful, too.

I'm not much of an html editor... so I'll leave a redesign of the front page to someone else.  But if you would like to build a better index.html, then by all means, please do.  You can just upload a candidate as an attachment, I think, and we can all take a look.  Pretty much anything would be an improvement over my current front page.

Do we have any websmiths in the house?
